After Effects vs Premiere
MotionCaption works differently in each host. In After Effects, captions are native text layers you can edit like any other layer. In Premiere, captions are a MoGRT that keeps every caption on one clip, and you can split that clip to style any caption on its own. You style it from the MotionCaption panel, using the properties the template publishes. The free trial runs in both hosts, so try it in the one you edit in and review the feature comparison before you buy.
