Animated caption presets
with editable styles
Native After Effects text layers. Start from a preset, then make it yours.
The most used presets by the MotionCaption community.
Mostly inspired by short-form looks on Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
How captions land
A preset is the look. This is the layer it arrives on, and what you can generate instead of picking one.
Every preset builds native After Effects text layers.
Text Layer
Plain native text layers, fully editable. Split them per word, per line, or per caption, or keep everything on one layer.
Your Custom Composition
Use your own After Effects composition as the caption look, instead of picking from the library.
Every preset rides on one MotionCaption MoGRT.
One MoGRT for all captions
Every caption rides on a single MoGRT clip, so generation is fast and the timeline stays light. Each caption can still have its own style.
Premiere Captions
Turn the same captions into a native Premiere caption track, the kind viewers can switch on and off.
Make any preset your own
Every preset opens its own settings. Adjust the look, and save your version.
Want more than one look from the same preset? Duplicate it as many times as you like. Each copy keeps its own settings, so you can grow the library into unlimited presets of your own.
Unlimited caption looks to browse
Choose what varies and a color mood, then click a style to apply or save it.
A full grid of caption styles to browse and save
Open the Styles Generator in the preset settings panel and get a set of distinct caption styles to browse. Choose what varies (colors, font, highlight, shadows, stroke, boxes) and a color mood (vibrant, pastel, dark, neon, warm, cool, mono, or random).

A different preset for each caption
Assign specific presets to specific captions, then generate all in one pass.
A different style for each speaker, in one pass
Open the Split Presets tray and select captions: by speaker (S1 / S2), select all, drag to paint across rows, or jump to a caption number. Click a preset to apply it to just those captions, and click an assigned badge to remove it. A counter shows how many captions have a preset and how many still need one. When you are ready, generate the whole video at once, each caption with its own look.
In After Effects, captions are native text layers
Choose one layer per caption, one per line, one per word, or a single layer for all captions for different styles.
One layer per caption block. The usual starting point, and most presets work with it.

Any style is a starting point
Pick one, then change whatever you want. Font, color, stroke, spacing, position. In After Effects, save your version to User Styles and reuse it in any project.

Use any font on your machine, plus Adobe Fonts
Every font on your machine and every font you sync from Adobe Fonts, each previewed in its own typeface. Star the ones you love, or roll the dice for a fresh look.
Match your brand colors in one click
Load a brand palette once and apply it to any caption. Alternate colors across the whole video when you want word-by-word pop. Save the palette and it travels to the next job.
Animation in a click
90+ animations in After Effects, a smaller set in Premiere. Apply one in a click, swap it anytime.
Timed for you
Fade, pop, slide, zoom, bounce. Each one arrives already timed to your captions.
Faster or slower, your call
Drag one slider to make the animation snappier or softer, then preview it on your own captions.
Build your own motion
Make custom motion with typewriter, wiggle, and scroll, then save it. Use it in any preset's settings, or apply it to captions already on your timeline.
In Premiere the animation library applies to your caption clips, and Motion > Custom writes keyframes onto any clip you select, including your own titles.
Effects, transitions, and filters
Glow, shadow, 3D, warps, boxes. Stack them on a caption, add a transition, drop a filter on top.
Glow, shadow, 3D, and more
Add one effect or stack five. They apply on top of your captions, and the last one comes off just as fast.
Transitions and filters
Captions enter and leave with a transition. In After Effects, add them to your B-roll too, then drop a filter on top.
Your own presets
Save your effect setups into the panel. Each one gets a preview and applies in one click.
After Effects has the largest effects library, plus B-roll transitions, targeted layers, optional motion blur, and your own saved presets. Premiere covers effects, transitions, and filters.
